Injured Lance Armstrong pulls of the tournament

Los Angeles: Ace cyclist Lance Armstrong was forced to pull out of the Tour of California race after he

was severely injured. The seven-time Tour de France winner could not judge the length of the road properly and so his bicycle skidded. He has got stitches on his left elbow and under his left eye, according to TMZ.com. The American rider, who has dated showbiz celebrities like Sheryl Crow and Kate Hudson in the past, is very sad for not being able to complete the tournament. "I`m alive. Fell face first and banged elbow pretty good. Xrays on the elbow were neg (negative). Extremely disappointed not to be able to continue," Armstrong wrote on his Twitter account. PTI
