International Sports meet for disabled soon

Lucknow: The second international sports meet for the differently abled persons will soon be organized here in collaboration with the Kuwait`s Disabled Sports Club.

"A delegation of Kuwait`s Sports Club will soon be visiting India to explore opportunities of tie-up for organising the international sports meet for the differently abled people," organiser A W Siddiqui said.

He said that the first international sports meet was organised in collaboration with Russia in 2005 and the first international cricket tournament for the disabled between India and England was held in 2002.

Siddiqui said that he met the vice-president of Kuwait Disabled Sports Club during his recent visit to the gulf country and discussed the various opportunities for the promotion of sports meet for the differently abled people.

"Vice President Kuwait Disabled Sports Club Anwar M Al Mustawa assured that a delegation of the club will be visiting India and soon be entering into a formal tie-up for organizing international sports meet," Siddiqui said.
