Judo championship to be held in Kashmir

Jammu: Srinagar will play host to a three-day long Judo Championship after a gap of 23 years.

"We are holding a three-day long Judo championship after 23 years in Srinagar, the summer capital from tomorrow," treasurer of Jammu and Kashmir Judo Association (JKJA), R S Jamwal said.

Boys and girls of Srinagar district will take part in the championship that starts on Thursday, and which would be inaugurated by minister of state for home, Nisar Wani.

All the judo championships in the state during the past two decades were held in Jammu, the winter capital.
