Kalmadi kept away from Asiad felicitation

Suresh Kalmadi who is facing charges of corruption in the sporting event, again got a ‘royal snub’ when he was not invited by the Sports Ministry for the felicitation of Asiad medalists at Rashtrapati Bhawan.

New Delhi: Commonwealth Games Organizing Committee head Suresh Kalmadi who is facing charges of corruption in the sporting event, again got a ‘royal snub’ when he was not invited by the Sports Ministry for the felicitation of Asiad medalists at Rashtrapati Bhawan. Kalmadi was also kept away at a similar function at PM’s house too and the move can be seen as the clear indication that government is trying to keep a distance from Kalmadi.Earlier, Kalmadi has also been snubbed and distanced in this manner during the felicitation of Commonwealth Games medalists.Kalmadi was snubbed when he was not invited to separate meetings that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi had with Indian medal-winners in the Games.
