Chennai : Chennai lad and country`s leading biker Krishnan Rajini will become the first Indian to race in the FIM World Endurance two-wheeler championship on Saturday
in Doha, Qatar.
Representing Vijay Mallya led Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India and donning the colours of Bangalore based Red Rooster team, Rajini would astride a Suzuki GSX R 1000cc in the event along with a Chinese and an Indonesian in his team.
The qualifying races would be held on Thursday.
The championship has taken an all-new dimension with this event featuring 42 teams in the grid - creating a new record in the whole history of the Endurance World Championship.

BMW joined the championship with great ambition, with four permanent teams racing on the new S 1000 RR, like the official Michelin BMW team and the semi-official Penz13.com.
Amongst the contenders for the 2010 title are former world champion teams the SERT, Suzuki Endurance Racing Team and the Yamaha France GMT 94.
