India vs Pakistan has always been a great encounter, be it cricket, hockey or any other sports.

Following the recent military actions between the two nations, the relations have turned more sour than before, so much so even sports and other general affairs between the two have taken a hit.

Earlier, BCCI's refusal to play Pakistan in a bilateral series had further hinted that both countries will try to avoid each other on all fronts, be it sports, political or entertainment.

What comes out more of as a surprise to people seeing India-Pakistan facing each other in the Asian Champions Trophy as they had not expected to witness the Indo-Pak rivalry in sports any time soon.

As far as forms is concerned, India were stunningly good in the opening fixture against Japan, with Rupinder Pal Singh scoring as many as six goals to help his team win 10-2.

They could not continue the same form against South Korea, only drawing 1-1 in the 2nd match.

Pakistan, on the other hand, lost their opening encounter to Malaysia but showed strong character to beat South Korea 1-0.

India and Pakistan presently sit 2nd and 3rd in the Asian Champions Trophy standings and it will be a test of nerves as both nations go head to head.

The Pakistan Hockey Federation has even asked its players to keep a check on their emotions during the match.
