No medal for India on last day of Asian archery

Kolkata: Indians returned empty-handed on the concluding day of the 17th Asian archery championship on Sunday to cap a miserable outing in Tehran with just two bronze medals in their kitty.

According to information received here, women`s compound archer Manjudha Soy was the only Indian running in a medal race today but she lost to Korean Korean Kwon oh Hyang in the tie-breaker of their bronze medal-play off.

Locked 140-140 the duo had a one-arrow shoot-off as the Indian got a 9 against the Korean`s 10.

In the last edition held in Bali 2009, India had clinched two silver medals and as many bronze medals.
