Qureshi course conductor of Victoria Hockey Tourney

Int. hockey umpire Shakeel Quereshi left for Dhaka to take over as course conductor for the Victory Hockey Tournament in Bangladesh. Before leaving, Queresh said that he would do a number of things for umpires in the tournament.

Bhopal, Dec 6 (PTI) International hockey umpire Shakeel Quereshi left here last evening for Dhaka to take over as course conductor for the Victory Hockey Tournament in Bangladesh. Before leaving, Queresh told PTI that he would be doing a number of things for umpires in the tournament.

He said that these include showing them CDs and DVDs about the manner in which umpires can supervise the game of hockey. Quereshi also said that he would be organising seminars for umpires on the occasion. He said that his appointment as course conductor had been made by the umpiring committee of the Asian Hockey Federation, of which he is a member. Quereshi is also chairman of the umpiring committee of Hockey India. PTI
