Rathore wins equestrian gold in individual dressage

Jamshedpur: Madhya Pradesh`s Mritunjoy Singh Rathore won the gold medal in the individual dressage event of equestrian at the 34th National Games at Gopal Maidan here on Friday.

Rathore clinched the gold with a total of 65.27 points while ex-armyman Gulab Singh of Delhi grabbed the silver with 62.66 points and captain Dannis Switten of Services won the bronze with 61.61 points.

Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and his wife Meera Munda gave away the prizes to the winners.

Services and Madhya Pradesh were leading the medals tally
in equestrian with two gold and one silver each.
