New York: The NBA will play regular-season games in Mexico City and London in the 2014-15 campaign, the league said Thursday.
The Houston Rockets are scheduled to play the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Mexico City Arena on November 12, while the Milwaukee Bucks and New York Knicks will meet at London`s The O2 on January 15. "While London and Mexico City each have their own unique culture, they both have rich sports traditions and share a great passion for the NBA," NBA commissioner Adam Silver said in a statement. "These regular-season games will bring the excitement and incredible competition of our league to more fans in Europe and Latin America." The Timberwolves were supposed to play the San Antonio Spurs at the Mexico City Arena last December 4, but the game was postponed because a generator malfunction filled the venue with smoke. The league previously announced that pre-season exhibition games will be held in Brazil, China, Germany and Turkey.
