New Delhi: On Day 9 of Paralympic Games as star Indian club thrower Amit Kumar Saroha, a gold medal winner at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, came close to winning bronze at the men's Club Throw F51 final.

The 31-year-old Amit was a national level hockey player until a tragedy struck him at the age of 22. He became quadriplegic due to compression of the spinal cord following a car accident.

But even the unfortunate incident couldn't stop the his courage for pursuing sports.
