Kolkata: Praising India`s top shuttler Saina Nehwal for her hard work, national badminton coach Pullela Gopichand Wednesday said she has a good chance of winning top honours at the upcoming World Championships in China.

"She is a role model for the young players. I think going into the tournament Saina will be one of the favourites to win a medal and she has a good chance of doing it and lets see how she progresses...," said Gopichand.

"She has been working hard...the last three four weeks have been good for her and I do expect her to do well," said the former All England Open Badminton Championship winner.

Saina has been seeded No.3 in women`s singles for the upcoming World Championships to be held between Aug 5-11 in Guangzhou, China.
