Saracens` George Kruis gets Six Nations reprieve

London: Saracens lock George Kruis will not miss the start of England`s Six Nations campaign after the Rugby Football Union on Tuesday banned him for three weeks over a dangerous tackle.

Kruis, capped four times by England, was cited for a tip tackle on David Halaifonua during Saracens` 24-23 defeat at Gloucester last Friday and pleaded guilty in front of an RFU disciplinary hearing in London.

The 24-year-old will miss his side`s European Rugby Champions Cup games against Munster and Clermont, but will be available for England`s Six Nations opener against Wales in Cardiff on February 6.

An injury crisis allowed Kruis to make his England debut during the November internationals and he featured as a replacement against New Zealand, South Africa, Samoa and Australia.
