Setting a new benchmark for fitness freaks across the world, model-turned-actor Milind Soman successfully completed the 'Ironman Triathlon' held in Zurich in Switzerland on Sunday.

New Delhi: Setting a new benchmark for fitness freaks across the world, model-turned-actor Milind Soman successfully completed the 'Ironman Triathlon' held in Zurich in Switzerland on Sunday. 

Milind, who will turn 50 in November this year, participated in the race which had over 2,000 participants this year, including seven Indians.

The Ironman is a series of extreme athletic events held across the world and consists of a 3.86 km swim, a 180.25 km cycle race and a 42.2 km run. All of these have to be completed within 16 hours.

Milind, who made his debut in what is widely regarded as the world’s toughest race, took 15 hours and 19 minutes to finish it.

Of the seven Indians who participated in the race this year, five completed the race.

Milind has been a national level swimmer for India and had been preparing for the race since the last few months, he also kept his fans updated regarding the same by sharing several photographs on social-media sites.
