Hyderabad: Asian Games medallists Tarundeep Rai and Abhishek Verma won the recurve and compound events respectively in the senior men's category at the ongoing Tata National Ranking Archery tournament (NRAT) here.
In the senior women's category, Laxmi Rani Majhi won the first place in the recurve event while Purvasha Sudhir Shende emerged victorious in the compound event.
Gurucharan Besra secured second place in the senior men's recurve event while Rajat Chouhan stood at second place in the senior men's compound event.
Olympian Deepika Kumari won the second place in the senior recurve women event while Namita Singh also secured second place in the senior women's compound event.
Sanjay Boro got third place in Senior Recurve Men's category while Kawalpreet Singh stood third in senior compound men's event.
In women's senior recurve event, Bombayala Devi stood at third place while P Lily Chanu secured third position in senior compound women's category.
"Top archers of the country including Olympians, World Cuppers and Asian Games medal winners, both in Recurve and Compound division will be participating in the first NRAT of this year, which will be held from February 12 to 19," Anil Kamineni, the Archery Association of India secretary general, had earlier said.
The players are competing in seniors, juniors and sub-junior category.
