Jaipur: Taking advantage of a last minute error by Sachin Shingade, the Telugu Titans kept their hopes alive by holding Bengal Warriors to a 34-34 draw in the Pro Kabaddi league at the Sawai Man Singh Indoor Stadium here Friday.
The Bengal Warriors who are almost out of the race for a semifinal berth, controlled the proceedings till the Vizag lads made a grand come back.
Titans were leading 13-7 at one point but Warriors played to a strategy and took a 17-15 lead by enforcing an all out for their opponents.
With the Korean raider Joan kun Lee in full flow, Bengal were in driver`s seat with a 31-20 led in the second half but Titans made a grand comeback. They were trailing 33-34 in the last few seconds and the last raid by Deepak was almost completed but a tactical error by Shingode cost Bengal dearly.
He tried to tackle Deepak when was almost finished by his raid and there came the final point for the Titans which helped them draw the match at 34-34.
The sixth draw of the tournament has kept Titans hopes alive for a semifinal berth with total of 33 points from 11 matches in its kitty for a fourth place but Warriors are almost out of the race with 21 points from 12 matches.
