Coimbatore: Around 300 players from various parts of Tamil Nadu will take part in the 55th Tamil Nadu Junior Carrom State Championship, beginning here on Friday.
The tournament will act as a selection trial as the top six scorers in both boys and girls categories will get a chance to play at National Level Junior Carrom Championship.
The players are expected to attend the three-day carrom carnival, a press release from the organisers Rathinam College of Arts and Science, the Tamil Nadu state Chess Association said.
