Daegu (South Korea): There was no false start for Usain Bolt this time as he easily qualified for the 200-meter semifinals at the world championships Friday.
After being disqualified for a false start in the 100 final on Sunday, the Jamaican was slowest out of the blocks in the first round of the 200.
In his favored event, he sat the longest in the blocks before coming out of the bend with a sizable lead. With 30 meters to go, he was already the Bolt of old, looking to his left from the outside lane and seeing no threat before he crossed in 20.30 seconds.
The semifinals are scheduled for later Friday.
When asked how he felt, Bolt simply gave a thumbs up.
