New Delhi: Ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu has barely had any time to rest ever since she returned from Rio after bagging a historic Silver medal.

After attending a series of events, which included two grand felicitation ceremonies in Telangana as well as Andhra Pradesh, Sindhu met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence on Sunday (August 28) in the presence of Sports Minister Vijay Goel.

Sindhu was accompanied by other Rio stars and Khel Ratna awardees - Sakshi Malik, Dipa Karmakar and Jitu Rai.

It was indeed a proud moment for the 21-year-old shuttler, who became India's first shuttler to clinch a Silver medal at the prestigious Games.

After meeting Modi, Sindhu took to Instagram to share a photo but said that she wished to do one thing before meeting the Prime Minister.

“Just wish I had time to change as I was being rushed from the airport,” she wrote with the photograph.

Earlier on Monday, Sindhu was conferred with the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award by President Pranab Mukherjee.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar too gave away swanky BMWs to Sindhu and other champions from Rio at a special event organised at Pullela Gopichand's academy in Hyderabad on Sunday.
