Hockey: The men's team continued their inconsistent performance and were held 2-2 by lower-ranked Canada in their final group phase game that failed to guarantee it a third place in Pool B.

Golf: S.S.P. Chawrasia and Anirban Lahiri scored even-par 71 and two-over 73 to finish tied 30th and joint 51st respectively after the second round.

Muhammed Anas, Ankit Sharma and Dutee Chand

Muhammed Anas, Ankit Sharma and Dutee Chand failed to qualify for the finals of their respective events.

Vikas Gowda

Discus thrower Vikas Gowda failed to qualify in the qualifying round, securing the 28th position among 35 athletes.

Shooting:  Gagan Narang and Chain Singh bowed out of Rifle Prone in the qualification, even as Gurpreet Singh and Mairaj Ahmed Khan finished the stage 1 qualifying of 25m rapid fire pistol and men's skeet on 10th position.

Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna

Tennis: Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna entered the semi-finals of the mixed doubles tennis event by defeating Andy Murray and Heather Watson of Britain in straight sets.

Vikas Krishan

Boxing: Vikas Krishan defeated Onder Sipal of Turkey 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the men`s Middleweight (75kg) category.
