MUMBAI Overs: 36 II Score: 146/2 ( Rahane: 54*)
Sreeshant has picked up the prize wicket of Jaffer. This is the break through ROI were looking for. Mumbai have sent Shardul Thakur as night watchman.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 36 II Score: 139/1 (Jaffer: 74*, Rahane: 53*)

Mumbai are getting runs nice and easily. Harbhajan Singh has looked completely ineffective and has been worked around for runs comfortably.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 30 II Score: 115/1 (Jaffer: 62*, Rahane: 41*)

Mumbai are going really well and the batsmen are looking very comfortable in the middle. Harbhajan has tried all his options including himself but the Mumbai batsmen have remained un-rattled.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 24 II Score: 92/1 (Jaffer: 57*, Rahane: 28*)

Wasim Jaffer gets to his half century with ten hits to the fence. Yet another half century from the veteran Mumbai batsman. He has certainly laid a strong claim for the opener’s slot in Test matches.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 20 II Score: 81/1 (Jaffer: 42*, Rahane: 28*)

Mumbai are cruising along at the moment. Rahane and Jaffer look comfortable in the middle and are playing aggressively. Some beaut6iful shots have been played by both these stylish batsmen. It will be interesting to see how they approach the spinners.

====================================================================================

Mumbai go into tea at 61 for the loss of one wicket, with Jaffer batting on 33* and Rahane on 22*. Mumbai have lost the wicket of Tare (6). Jaffer and Rahane have looked very comfortable in the middle and have played some fantastic shots. ROI would be looking to pick up a few more wickets in the session after tea.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 14 II Score: 54/1 (Jaffer: 30*, Rahane: 14* )

Mumbai have done well to not lose any more wickets. Jaffer and Rahane have looked good in the middle and runs are coming without the batsmen having to take any undue risks. Ishwar Pandey has been impressive although he has leaked a few runs. A few delightful shots have been played by both Rahane and Jaffer.

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 4 II Score: 14/1 (Jaffer: 8*)

Ishwar Pandey has got rid of Tare. This was a very good delivery bowled on off stump and Tare tried to hit that on the up but the ball lobbed to Tiwary at gully.

AP Tare c Tiwary b Pandey 6 (9b 1x4 0x6)

====================================================================================

MUMBAI Overs: 2 II Score: 14/0 (Jaffer: 8*, Tare: 6*)

Sreeshant starts off proceedings for ROI. Jaffer gets an edge off the second ball safely through gully for a four. The next ball is straighter and Jaffer uses his wrists to flick it towards mid wicket for another boundary.

Ishwar Pandey bowls the next over. He strays on the pads and Tare flicks it for a boundary. This time Tare played one softly to mid off who let the ball go past him for a couple of runs.

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 130 II Score: 526/10 (Sreeshant: 7*)

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 125 II Score: 512/9 (Sreeshant: 0* Pandey: 0*)

ROI have lost a few wickets post lunch. Mumbai will be looking to wrap them up as soon as possible. Now that Raina has been dismissed ROI may well declare their innings soon.

PP Ojha c Kulkarni b Dabholkar 0 (7b 0x4 0x6)

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 121 II Score: 487/6 (Raina: 100*, Mithun: 35*)

ROI go into lunch at 487 for the loss of 6 wickets. Suresh Raina’s hundred has been the highlight of today’s play thus far. Raina and Mithun are punishing the Mumbai bowlers now. Runs coming all too easily for the batsmen. All Mumbai bowlers, with the exception of Dhawal Kulkarni, have been ordinary and ROI batsmen have taken advantage of the mediocre bowling on offer.

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 115 II Score: 454/6 (Raina: 100*, Mithun: 35*)

Suresh Raina gets to his century . This is the second century in the match after Murali Vijay scored 116 runs on the first day. This innings will certainly brighten their prospects of a comeback in the Test team.

Even Mithun has decided to get into the action. He played a pull off Dhawal Kulkarni that could have put any top order batsman to shame and followed it up with a beautiful cover drive for another boundary.

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 110 II Score: 416/6 (Raina: 85*, Mithun: 12*)

Raina has been playing really well here. He has seen off the short bowling and is now looking very comfortable in the middle. He has also looked very positive and has smashed anything loose. Mithun has also provided decent support to the left hander. Raina is well on course for a century.

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 102 II Score: 370/6 (Raina: 50*, Mithun: 5*)

Raina has been playing very well and has got to his half century. He has had to face a few nasty short balls but he has not shied away and has been equal to the task. Runs have come nice and easily for Rest of India. Suresh Raina has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders and has to hand around with the tail and add as much runs as possible to the scoreboard.

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 95 II Score: 353/6 (Raina: 38*, Mithun: 1*)

Harbhajan was going well with a few boundaries but again he loses his patience and with it his wicket. Goofd bowling from Kulkarni. The ball opens him up and is well taken by Nayar.

Harbhajan Singh c Nayar b Kulkarni 16 (15b 3x4 0x6)

====================================================================================

RoI Overs: 93 II Score: 339/5 (Raina: 36*, Harbhajan: 5*)

Dhawal Kulkarni starts off proceedings for Mumbai. Harbhajan gets four byes off the first ball. No run taken from the rest of the over. Javed Khan will bowl the next over. Traps Raina on the pads and a huge appeal follows but the umpire thinks the ball was too high.
