Frank Lampard signs deal to write children’s book

London: English footballer Frank Lampard has signed a new deal to write a series of children’s books.
The Chelsea veteran has signed a deal with publisher Little Brown Books to write five books for children about a school boy, Frankie, his football-loving friends, and pet dog Max.
"I first had the idea of Frankie and his Magic Football when reading stories to my own children," Lampard said in a statement.
"Sport and reading are two essentials for us at home, so I decided to make up my own football stories and adventures," he said.
He revealed that the characters of the story are loosely based on his “friends and team mates” he has played with over the years.
The 34-year-old midfielder will publish his first book, Frankie Versus the Pirate Pillagers, in June.
