If Narsingh Yadav is found guilty, Sushil Kumar cannot replace him for Rio Olympics – Here's why!

New Delhi: Ever since Indian wrestler Narsingh Yadav failed a doping test ahead of Rio Olympics, one question in everybody's mind is – If Narsingh is found guilty, can Sushil Kumar replace him in 74-kg category at the biggest sporting extravaganza.

According to a report in The Times of India, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president Ramachandran Srinivasan shot down any such speculation saying that if Narsingh fails to make it to Rio, India's quota will go empty.

The deadline for sending the final list of the athletes for the mega event was July 18.

“If Narsingh is barred from participating in Rio Games there is no chance of Sushil going instead. He did not qualify in the trials and so such theories that Sushil camp has jeopardized Narsingh's Rio dreams has no base,“ Ramachandran told TOI.
