New Delhi: Despite returning home without a medal, Abhinav Bindra produced the best performance by an Indian athlete so far at the ongoing Rio Olympics.
After qualifying for the 10m Air Rifle final, the 2008 Olympic gold medalist, came agonisingly close to winning a medal.
He bowed out at the fourth position. Post Bindra's exit, the Indian shooting contingent produced poor performances with the likes of Gagan Narang, Jitu Rai and Heena Sidhu unable to conjure up something special.
Dismayed by the show, an Indian sports fans asked Bindra a rather interesting question on social micro-blogging site Twitter.
@WrijuMukherjee asked Abhinav whether Joydeep Karmakar was now the lone medal hope for a shooting medal in Rio.
Joydeep missed a medal in the last edition of the Olympics by the slimmest of margins. He finished fourth in the Men's 50m Rifle Prone event at London 2012.
Joydeep however was not part of India's shooting contingent for Rio. So when faced with this tricky question, here is how Bindra decided to answer.

Now that is what you call a gold medal worthy reply.
