New Delhi: Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is one of the Goodwill Ambassadors for the Indian contingent at the Rio Olympics 2016.

Apart from the former India captain, superstar Salman Khan, music maestro A R Rahman and shooter Abhinav Bindra too were appointed by the IOA in a similar role.

On Wednesday, Tendulkar made use of Mr. Modi's 'Narendra Modi App' to wish all the Indian athletes participating at the Games.

This app enables users to send customized messages to Team India in Rio.

The PM thanked Tendulkar for doing the same and stated that his words and presence would motivate the Indian team at the Olympics.

The Games commence on August 5 and the Indian contingent is expected to bag a record medals tally time time.
