Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro or CR7 as the striker is famously known debuted for Portugal in August 2003 against Kazakhstan. His first international goal came in the opening game of Euro 2004 against the eventual winner Greece.
Ronaldo scored three goals in five appearances for Portugal in the tournament. The first two were scored against The Netherlands that his side won 2-1 while the next came in the quarterfinal in a 1-0 win over Czech Republic that ensured a semi-final berth for his side. He is also the captain of his national team.
