Djokovic- The World No.1 Novak Djokovic is looking forward to win his maiden French Open title. The Serbian however reckoned that clay court expert Rafael Nadal was the favourite to bag his seventh title at the Roland Garros.

Rafael Nadal is seeking his seventh French Open title in eight years and has a match record of 45-1 for his career at Roland Garros. Even Djokovic and Federer have picked up the Spaniard as the favourite to win the tournament.
Rafael Nadal is believed to be the only threat who can stop Djokovic- the reigning Wimbledon, US and Australian Open champion – from becoming the first man in 43 years to complete a grand slam sweep of tennis`s four majors.
While Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are the favourites to win French Open 2012, Roger Federer, who has won 16 grand slam titles, can spoil their party at any given day.
Novak Djokovic will have to defeat Roger Federer in the semi-final to meet Nadal in the finals. In case if the Serbian upsets the Spaniard in the final, he will create history by becoming the first man in 43 years to complete a grand slam sweep of tennis`s four majors.
Sharapova needs only a French Open crown to complete a career Grand Slam. She will be looking forward to clinch her maiden French Open title.
The Russian’s best performances have been semi-final appearances in 2007 and 2011 and this time she would like to go a step ahead and win the title.
This year`s Australian Open champion Victoria Azarenka is the favorite to win French Open 2012 in the women’s category. She will face Italian Alberta Brianti in the opening round of the French Open.
