Gold medallist at Commonwealth Games and India’s top discus thrower Krishna Poonia is all set to make an impact at the prestigious games.

Just a week ahead of the Games, Poonia again proved her great form by registering a distance of 63.16m in the Woodford Green Open graded meet at the Woodford Green and Essex Ladies Athletics Club at Ashton.

The 29-year-old had reached London early to get acclimatized to the conditions. While the Indian fans don’t have many expectations from the athletics category, Poonia is an exception who can take everyone by surprise.
