Melbourne: The mother of retired Australian cricketer Dean Jones` love child has revealed that although she is disappointed in the former sports star, she is still in love with him.
Kerri-Anne Hamilton, a Sydney flight attendant, had a secret relationship for 10 years with Jones, 49, and their affair came to an end when she was six months pregnant with their child, Koby.
"I do still love him, but I am disappointed in him," a website quoted Hamilton as saying.
"I loved him, loved him. He is a great guy, he is a great man and he is a great family man - he was great to me," she said.
Hamilton and Jones had met at a charity golf day in Sydney in 1998.
The cricketer wooed her, but three months later on their third date he admitted he had a wife, Jane, and two daughters, Phoebe and Isabella.
Hamilton said she tried to end the affair after the revelation, but slowly fell back into the illicit relationship that saw her travel the world with Jones.
Jones is yet to meet his 11-month-old son, but Hamilton hopes one day it will happen.
"I am not hanging out for it, not holding my breath, but I would welcome it, of course," she said.
"I`m decent. I`m fair. I`m not angry. I`m just disappointed," she added.
