Mumbai: Australian pace spearhead and a well known IPL figure Brett Lee is in talks to be the part of Bigg Boss 6 next year, a leading daily confirmed on Monday.
It was reported that Endemol, which launched Bigg Boss series in India, approached Lee to participate in the show and offered him a very good pay for the same that has got him keenly interested.
The company roped in pornstar Sunny Leone to increase the ‘hot’ quotient in the house. All the hot females notwithstanding, the show seems to be lacking the ‘hunk’ quotient to increase the TRP, hence the offer to Lee.
Talent management company Netsurf Entertainment have approached Lee with the offer to participate. The producers have offered USD 50,000 (Rs25 lakh) per week to the cricketer to be a part of the show for at least two weeks, according to a source.
A week ago, Next Level Media Communication, the PR firm which represents Lee in India was approached with the Bigg Boss offer.
“Yes, Brett Lee has been approached to be a contestant for Bigg Boss season 5. This clearly shows his popularity in India. However, he is committed to play in Big Bash (Australia’s version of IPL) so he can’t participate in the show this year, even though he is getting a very good offer. But he assured that he will be a part of Bigg Boss season 6,” said Samir Phadnis, COO, Next Level Media Communication.
