Raina salutes martyrs who laid down lives for country

Lucknow: Cricketer Suresh Raina on Sunday saluted the martyrs who had laid down their lives for the country and said the government should look after the welfare of their kin properly.

"Martyrs laid down their lives to save us and their debt can never be repayed. This is our duty to take full care of their kin," Raina, who was here to attend an elicitation function organised by Sahara India Pariwar here to honour the kin of Kargil War, Mumbai terror attack and Dantewada Naxal attack martyrs.

"If I were the Prime Minister then I would have got some good schemes framed for the families of the martyrs and get them implemented at all cost," he added when asked what he would have done if he had been the PM.
