This Tendulkar treads a different path!

Mumbai: Harris Shield tournament is where Sachin Tendulkar grabbed the headlines 23 years ago with a monumental 664-run partnership with Vinod Kambli, and the premier U-16 school tournament has also given another Tendulkar a headline grabbing opportunity.

Arjun Tendulkar, son of Sachin, took 8 for 22 in a Harris Shield match for Dhirubhai Ambani School to bundle out The Jamnabai Narsee School team for 105. Interestingly, his bowling performance proved to be a match winning one.

Arjun opened the bowling for his team and bowled 12 overs at a stretch. Out of the eight wickets that Tendulkar took, three were clean bowled, two caught behind and rest were taken at mid-off and at covers.

However, Junior Tendulkar, who opened the batting as well, failed to score any run as he departed on the third ball in the run chase.
