New York: The Brooklyn Nets went the distance -- and then some -- on Friday to make sure ex-coach Jason Kidd and the Milwaukee Bucks didn`t get another win at their expense.

Brook Lopez scored 32 points and pulled down 18 rebounds to help the Nets down the Bucks 129-127 in a triple-overtime NBA thriller.

Lopez scored the first five points of the third overtime. He added two rebounds and a blocked shot in the third extra period.

"If you could jump out there and get the lead, I think we got a five-point lead, that was huge in giving us the momentum to finish the game," Nets coach Lionel Hollins said.

The game was a rematch of a November 19 clash, which also went to a third overtime. In that one the Bucks triumphed in former Nets head coach Kidd`s first return to Brooklyn since he ditched the Nets to take the helm in Milwaukee.

The Nets, who erased a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit, not only gained a measure of revenge, they also kept their slim playoff hopes alive.

The Nets have played six overtime games this season, all coming at home to tie a club record set in 2010-11.
