India is ICC ODI Team of the Year

Johannesburg: : In a glittering ceremony held at Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, Team India won the prestigious ICC ODI Team of the Year Award.

More good news followed India’s way after the Champions Trophy gloom when Team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni walked away with the ODI Player of the Year award.

The Indian captain was also adjudged the best man to lead the ICC Dream World Test Team and World ODI Team.

India’s ace batsman and master blaster Sachin Tendulkar was again included in the world Test Team.

The other prominent awards were as follows:

ICC ODI Team of the Year: India

ICC ODI Player of the Year: Mahendra Singh Dhoni of India

ICC Test Player of the Year: Gautam Gambhir of India

ICC T20 Player of the Year: Tilakratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka

ICC Emerging Cricketer of the Year 2009: Australia’s Peter Siddle

ICC Team for Spirit of Cricket Award: New Zealand

ICC Umpire of the Year: Aleem Dar of Pakistan

ICC Associate Player of the Year: Ireland captain William Porterfield
