Paltrow’s mom did not want her daughter to become an actress

Washington: Gwyneth Paltrow’s mother Blythe Danner has revealed that she had not wanted her daughter to follow in hers and late husband Bruce Paltrow’s footsteps.

Danner, 66, who is an award winning actress, while her husband had been a director, had wanted her daughter to do something along the lines of saving the world. “She’s so smart we wanted her to find a cure for AIDS or something,” Fox News quoted her as saying at the recent Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards. “We were pretty firm about her finishing her education but when we saw how talented she was we finally said okay,” she added.
