CWG case: Summons against 3 Swiss Timing officials sent to MHA

CBI has forwarded to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) the summons to be served abroad to three officials of Switzerland-based Swiss Timing Limited, for their alleged role in a 2010 Commonwealth Games related corruption case in which Suresh Kalmadi among others is facing trial.

CWG case: Trial against Kalmadi, 9 others commences in court

Trial in a Commonwealth Games related case, involving Suresh Kalmadi and nine others for allegedly causing a loss of over Rs 90 crore to the exchequer, commenced today before a Delhi court which recorded evidence of a woman officer associated with the 2010 sporting event.

The Minister`s response came after Special CBI Judge allowed Kalmadi`s plea to visit London during Olympics, while ordering him to furnish a bond of Rs 10 lakh and a surety of the same amount.
