London: British tennis ace Andy Murray has set his sights on dethroning Novak Djokovic from the top of the rankings after gaining the number two position by winning the Miami Masters Trophy.
The Scottish star climbed above Roger Federer on the ATP ladder after a gruelling 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 (7/1) victory over David Ferrer in the final of the ATP Sony Open in Miami, the Mirror reports. Stating that his return to the World No. 2 position is not a big deal, Murray, who is still some way behind six-time major winner Djokovic, said that he is optimistic that he is on the right way to reach the summit and added that his moving up the rankings is a good sign. Murray further said that he has been winning a lot of matches and has had better consistency over the last few months, adding that his performance has been reflected in the rankings. ANI
