Melbourne: World no. 1 Novak Djokovic defeated Radek Stepanek 6-4, 6-3, 7-5 in the third round of Australian Open on Friday.
This is Djoker’s 17th straight win at the annual event.
The 25-year-old Serb is looking to defend his title that he won in 2012 defeating Spaniard Rafael Nadal in an epic final.
If he manages to defend his crown, he’ll become the first man in the Open era to win three consecutive Australian Open titles.
Nole will play either Sam Querrey or Stanislaw Wawrinka in the fourth round on Sunday.
