Melbourne: Defending champion Victoria Azarenka was back to her best when she outclassed her opponent in the fourth round of the Australian Open to book her place in the quarter finals.
The top ranked Belarusian defeated her Russian opponent Elena Vesnina 6-1, 6-1 on Monday saying she is getting ready for the upcoming big battles.
“It’s getting there ... with every match you start building up for the top battles starting now. It’s really exciting to be again so far in the tournament,” Azarenka was quoted as saying by a news agency after her win.
Azarenka will now meet Svetlana Kuznetsova in the quarters.
