The semi-final at Australian Open will be the 45th match between these two. They are currently tied at 22-22.

Last time Federer defeated Djokovic was in 2012 at the Wimbledon, where he went on to win the tournament which was his 17th major title.

In 2015, Djokovic defeated Federer in Wimbledon, as well as US Open final.

 

Djokovic is the defending champion at the Australian Open and is also ranked World No. 1 at the moment. Federer is ranked No. 3 at the moment.

While Federer has won the Australian Open on four occasions, Djokovic is a five-time champion.
