Dubai: World No. 1 Novak Djokovic extended his winning streak to 16 matches as he comprehensively defeated Andreas Seppi 6-0 6-3 and moved into the semi-finals of the Dubai Championships on Thursday. Djokovic’ victory has set up a 10th meeting with Del Potro, who outclassed Germany’s Daniel Brands 6-4 6-2. Potro’s thundering serve troubled his opponent who could do nothing about it. Meanwhile Federer too routed Russia`s Nikolay Davydenko 6-2 6-2 and world number six Berdych swatted aside wildcard Dmitry Tursunov 6-3 6-2. Federer and Djokovic, who have shared eight of the last 10 Dubai finals between them, are likely to lock horns in this year’s final as well.
