Paris: They know each other`s game quite well. And even though they come from the same country, one is the King of Clay, the other is yet to win a Grand Slam title. While David Ferrer hasn`t won a major, Rafael Nadal has won the French Open record eight times and has an incredible 63-1 record at the Roland Garros. Ferrer, once again has an uphill task ahead of him as he takes on Nadal, this time in the quarter-finals. When these two locked horns in the final last year, Nadal registered a comprehensive win over his compatriot. It`s not that David Ferrer doesn`t have the potentital to do well on clay. It`s just that on clay, no matter how hard he tries, one has to have the nerves of steel to compete against Nadal, let alone winning. In another quarter-final Gael Monfils is up against Andy Murray. Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic has already reached the semis where he is up against Ernests Gulbis, the Latvian who stormed into the semis with a stunning win over Swiss No. 1 Roger Federer.
