Madrid: Serbian world number two Novak Djokovic has pulled out of this week`s Madrid Open Masters event, as he continues to nurse an injured right wrist.
The injury was acquired at last month`s Monte Carlo Masters where he lost to Roger Federer in the semi-finals. Sport24 quoted Djokovic, as saying that he hoped to be back for the Rome Masters starting next Sunday. Had he played in Madrid, Djokovic would have had a chance to topple world number one Rafa Nadal.
