New Delhi: Frenchman Richard Gasquet is going to miss the first Grand Slam of the year – Australian Open – starting next month`s in Melbourne, due to back injury.
Australian Open organisers announced the news on Tuesday via their Twitter account.
Sorry to report that @richardgasquet1 has withdrawn from the #AusOpen with a back injury. We wish him a speedy recovery.

The world number nine, Gasquet, has been suffering from back problem for quite some time now.
In fact, the 29-year-old, has already pulled back his name from Qatar Open, starting next week.
The 2016 Australian Open is scheduled to take place between January 18 to January 31.
