New Delhi: Kyra Shroff`s splendid run at the
ITF junior grade II tournament ended with a tame straight-set
defeat in the summit clash as host India signed off without
any title from the event here on Friday.
Wild card Kyra lost 2-6, 1-6 to Chinese fourth seed Zi
Yang in the girls singles final at the DLTA complex.
The defeat came a day after Kyra shocked second seed Ran
Tian in the semifinals.
Ronit Bisht had yesterday lost his boys singles semifinal
and no Indian pair could make the summit clash of either the
boys or girls` doubles.
The boys` singles title went to China`s third seed Bowen
Ouyang, who rallied to beat his compatriot and second seed
Chuhan Wang 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 in the final.
