Mankad-Treat in quarters of US ATP Challenger event

New Delhi: Top seeds Harsh Mankad and Treat
Conrad Huey sailed into the doubles quarter-finals of the ATP
Challenger event in Savannah, USA after scoring an easy
straight set win over Americans Lester Cook and Tim Smyczek.

The Indo-Filipino pair outplayed the local pair 6-1 6-4
in the opening round of the USD 50,000 clay court event.

In another ATP Challenger event in Israel, US based
Indian Prakash Amritraj will open his campaign against Nick
Lindahl of Australia.

If he manages to clear the first hurdle, his possible
next round rival could be world number 67 and local favourite
Dudi Sela, who has been given the top billing.

Amritraj is also competing in the doubles event, where he
has been seeded second along with Harel Levy of Israel.

They are up against local pair of Dudi Sela and Saar
Steele in the first round of the USD 1,00,000 hard court
