London: British tennis star Andy Murray is working on a new formula to help him stay at the top into his 30s, as the US champion is now in Miami with coach Ivan Lendl focusing on shortening rallies to ease his workload.

The Scot, in the running for BBC Sports Personality of the Year at the weekend, went through the pain barrier to win Olympic gold and the US Open, and wants to do everything to stretch his career.

“It’s getting so physical and if you’re playing longer points it’s going to have an effect on the length of your career,” the Sun quoted Murray, as saying. “I think I’ll be able to hang around for four or five or six years,” he said.
