Nadal, Federer register easy wins at Halle Open

Halle: Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal won their opening matches at Halle on Thursday.

Nadal, won his seventh French Open title some days ago defeated Slovakia`s Lukas Lacko 7-5, 6-1 in the second round while Federer moved into the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 7-5 win over Germany`s Florian Mayer. Nadal will now play against eighth seed Philipp Kohlschreiber in the quarter-finals while world number three Federer will play against Canadian fifth seed Milos Raonic on Friday.
