Nadal snubs Queen`s Club tournament for cash-rich tournament in Halle

Rafael Nadal has decided to skip next year’s traditional Wimbledon warm-up at Queen’s Club.

London: Spanish tennis star and World Number Two Rafael Nadal has decided to skip next year’s traditional Wimbledon warm-up at Queen’s Club after accepting around 750,000 pounds to play in the Gerry Weber Open at Halle.
According to a leading daily, Nadal will not be appearing at the tournament he won in 2008. “It’s disappointing, but we know how much he enjoys our event and we hope to be welcoming him back soon,” a tournament statement said. Queen’s will still have a strong field, with defending champion Andy Murray sure to play. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Andy Roddick are also expected plus, hopefully, Novak Djokovic. ANI
