Nice touch! This is what PM Narendra Modi said about Sania Mirza in Switzerland

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who reached Geneva late last night on the third leg of his five-nation tour, on Monday issued a joint press statement with Switzerland President Johann Schneider-Ammann.

The Indian PM's speech hit all the right notes and had in it a little bit for everyone including sports lovers.

He addressed multiple issues like economic links between India and Switzerland, NSG membership, Black Money and bilateral ties.

Mr. Modi then highlighted successful Indo-Swiss collaborations using the example of tennis stars Sania Miza and Leander Paes.

"Thanks to the Indian film industry, we are very familiar with the enchanting Swiss landscape. The successful Indo-Swiss collaborations include Martina Hingis partnering with our Sania Mirza and Leander Paes," Modi said.

Considering the agenda of PM Modi's visit, the reference to India's tennis duo did come as a pleasant surprise.
